Time to Sweat iT Out !!

Its been 2 months since I last went for a check up for my BMI and Body Fat % measurments. It says here my weight is now 81.4kg, BMI is 26.0 and Fat% 23.8. Phew last year this time around I was 90+kg, and 45% BF. I think it is quite an achievement comparing how I was like , last year. Money well spent. So this is for my EX-Colleague who laughed at me when I said my new year resolution was to loose 20 lbs. I lost 30 pounds instead, hahaha.

Its been quite a year, come to think of it. Firstly, when I first joined the gym, I never thought I'd be loosing so much weight. Not in my wildest imagination would I think I'd loose those pounds. Credit has to go to the new bunch of gym friends I met at Fitness First Leisure Mall. King Wai was the first guy I knew, and I approachd him because after one month in the gym, I watched him loose those pounds. He was one determined muthafucka, who was in the gym every evening I was there. After getting to know King Wai the gang slowly took shape. Now I must say the Body Combat group, after one year, has remained the same gang. Marcus, Ben, King Wai, Me, Karen (used to be now too busy), Sheau Wei, Ivy, hmm.. and many more.

The instructors were of course very very friendly. I first started off Body Combat with Crystal and Janice, the Two Killer Bitches who were like killing my fats. Janice now in Jakarta Fitness First, and Crystal in SPK, comes for one class a week at Leisure Mall, although she can still be spotted in Leisure Mall once in a blue moon on non class days. Not to forget, Shades, the most Bin Tai instructor I know and by far the most friendly one, and recently we got Calvin (C) the funny guy. All great guys I must say.

23.8% is where I am now, I believe I have to go to 20% and maintain there. Oh well, it is time to sweat it out and I will continue with my 4 to 5 day week program. Body Pump, Body Combat, Body Attack and RPM, all these programs, all class programs seems to fit me very well. Mostly cardio classes, even Pump which requires weights, is said to be a cardio program too.

DIET

Hmm, no complete workout program comes without its diet program. For mine, what have I done the past year ? I have definitely been eating different. Firstly, I did without eating after dinner, which meant, supper is a no- no. No more maggi mee gorengs, roti canais , thosais, etc during the mamak session. Cut down my Carb intake tremendously. Breakfast, is carb time, Lunch, occasionally I will eat some rice ( can't avoid eating right, when you doing lunch with your client), and dinner time, half a bowl of rice max. Makan lauk lo, if hungry. Still eat a lot though, only less rice is the main theme the whole past year. Simple and easy. Once a day, is my Fong Gam day. Eat anything I like.

Thats the secret. Nothing else. Oh ya, the other factor is the determination and telling myself to push it in class. Don slack in class, besides, money already pay, why don you go workout ? Thats how I did it, no starving my self shit, would work for me. Now time to sweat it out for the last 4%, I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel !

PS SOrry ar if I left out some people's names, then you know who you are... waakakaka

Watching Movies all !

Tuesday night was alright and it went by smoothly to say the least. Being absent from the movie theatre for close to, hmm... I think since January, and from then until last Tuesday , the previous movie I watched was Memoirs of A Geisha. To me that movie was just a hyped up story about prostitutes, in Japan. Besides the Geisha team had the marketing budget to advertise their movie, and that was probably what made it a big success. However, should you compare the numbers, their budget was 80M, and they raked in only 150M worldwide. I'd consider that a failure, although they made money from it.

Now this movie is something I want to rave about. Anyone watched Goal ! , you have to go for this one, although I am not sure if they will show it locally. My first impression: what the fuck is a hobbit doing in a hooligan movie ? Elijah Wood, a Yank , in a Brit movie ? Oh come on !!... The movie starts off showing how Elijah's Character got framed for pushing drugs as a Harvard Student of Journalism, got kicked out of his school, and fled to England to look for his sister (Claire Forlani ) *drool!!! man!!*

FOOTBALL FAN

Being a football fan, I had to watch this movie, because its totally about everything you need to know about a Hooligan Gang that supports West Ham. Its really a story about grown up boys who loves football and drinking, and after getting drunk they always look for a fight with opposing gangs. It sounds like a fucked up movie, but after watching it, I now understand why there are hooligans. Well they dare to put a hobbit in a hooligan movie, I dare to watch it. Its a must watch. Football movie of the year. Hmm, I gotta watch GOAL too, and since Alf told me its a Trilogy, and its a damn superb movie, I really can't miss out on this movie too.

Winning Eleven 9

So, whats the think about WE9 ? I have been training to get myself accustomed to this game now. There is a difference in this version as compared to V8, and V7. The AI can learn on its own, and somehow the ingame tactics changes quite fast. For example when the team is winning and defending from a goal, they would change formation and sometimes substitute players just to use up a little bit more time. Secondly, the controls are abit different. It used to be that you had to press a few buttons to do a feint, but now everything is controlled using the Analog Stick, walane ! I suppose now you won't have to experience too many blisters on your left thumb anymore ! Wrong ! I am still using the joystick and controlling the keypad with my left thumb, and this game been getting me hooked onto it. Everynight, I will surely try to play aronud with different types of formation that would fit my team in the league.

It is indeed a damn good game, as a different formation gives you different results. I am not sure how FIFA2006 is now, but I am Winning Eleven Convert since 4 years back. Since FIFA2002 , if not mistaken and that was on the PS as I remembered it well. To make the game a little bit more interesting , each individual players can be asked to make certain runs, or you could quickly reposition them just by pressing the preset Strategy buttons.

WINNING ELEVEN LEAGUE

So are there anyone willing to participate in a Winning Eleven League ? I am looking for people to gather up and play Winning Eleven once a week and play against each other. Oh well, lets just put it here first, later only try to organise some goons to come get their assess kicked. If got people interested contact me la..

Tattoos and Such !

I remember one night, accompanied mom and dad to dinner somewhere near home. That particular restaurant would be a typical TAI CHOW, except that it was air-conditioned and it was situated at a shoplot. Right next to this restaurant was a half-shop establishment which happened to be a tattoo parlour.

I remember when we were really young, whenever we see a tattooed man, we use to think that the guy was a criminal. Probably someone who did time for shop lifting or raping a Grandma. The severity of the crime was probably judged by the size of the man's tattoo. That was probably how all of us were brought up, because your mom used to tell you shit like that.

So what the heck, I decided to, take a picture of someone elses tattoo during one of the mamak sessions. Haha, it is obviously not mine. Eng Yau is same age as me, and he just decided to get one tattoo for himself. That was after Stephen and Derrick did theirs very very recently. So what about tattoos ? Do you still qualify to be a criminal if you are spotted with a tattoo or tattoos on your body ? I don't know what to say anymore, because everyone that goes drinking, hanging out with me, all got tattoo, except for me. Hmm, should I get mine.

What about chicks with tattoos ?

On the other hand, if you check this lady out here on the right, would you mine if she was a criminal ? I mean her tattoos are just awesome! Lovely, I believe body art has a good future now. Anyway if this chick here was a guy with that amount of tattoo, we will instantly say he is bad guy or something like that. Casey just had hers done, last week. I have yet to see what it was, and the pain they had to endure to be tattooed. Hmm, I can only imagine how much they have to go through to get their body painted.

Somehow I will remain with the procastination. Perhaps I might be interested in tattoos when I turn 50 or something like that, perhaps by that time, the trend would be erasable tattoos, etc.

American Chili's at Bangsar

Last weekend was just as hectic as the weekday. Not kidding at all, the load at work has been piling up since the end of CNY holidays. And to think back, when was the last time I had a Tex-Mex meal ? The answer was, too damn long. So when Connie asked to go for dinner, the answer had to be Tex-Mex and chosed Bangsar's Chili's. I suppose the environment was nice, although it had a sports bar setting. They have TVs at every corner but sad to say they only show one channel, ESPN. The place is dimly lit, and the crowd, decent to say the least.

Definitely a nice setting for a non-romantic dinner, but decent enough for two person to sit down and chit-chat. Moreover, the drinks there are bottomless, it is really a good place to have long chats. So, we arrived there at about dinner time. The crowd there being mostly families, the baby boomer type family, usually with kids under 12, mostly. And some tables we had yuppies, and only very few college or school kids occupying the tables. By the time we arrived, both of us were already starving so we just chosed to go to the smoking section which offered us free seating. We chosed a booth table just big enough to fit both of us. Sadly the table was really a bit too small for both of us, but at least it was cosy.

Both of us looked at the menu, Connie stared at me blankly, and said, " You choose whatever la !! ". For the first time I had a free hand at choosing what was nice. Great, we shall have something light then. Better don't eat so much for dinner, afraid that we might grow fat from eating too much. YA RITE !!! The friendly lady who was serving gave us a million dollar smile, and instantly, I totally forgot about watching what to eat. So here goes, Soup(Chicken Mushroom) and Dinner Salad, Triple Play, Combo Fajitas Nachos, Molten Choclate Cake, Banana Choclate Shake (for her) and Bottomless Fruit Juice (for him). After the soup arrived, it only took them like 5 minutes to get the soup ready, I suddenly realized, that I had not eaten all day ( kena HANG OVER) . So don't care la, belasah some and let Connie have the rest. The rest of the stuff were all right, I saw Connie keeping up with me, when it comes to the portions. The killa was the dessert. "MOLTEN" One big piece of brownie topped up with Vanilla Ice Cream and Choclate Fudge and Caramel Toppings. We both stared cock at each other for a while and said, how are we going to finish this ? Hahaha.. we did the best we could, but in the end we gave up. The taste was nice, and MOLTEN made the dish sorta like sound like some Danish Badminton Racquet Brand.

Connie was more than satisfied with the food there, and she said that, she would like to come back again someday. Want to try makan the steak, and the burger. All look damn bloody juicy. That I must agree with her. She really does have taste. Yummy !!! Flame grilled steak and burger.

*Drool* *Drool* *Drool*

Ok la, it was a superb Sunday night, capped off with superb company and superb food. What more can you ask for ? One absent minded TAI KU MA, SMSed while we were on the way to Chili's, " Pls come for buffet dinner at my place, Water Baby's full moon celebration." So after dinner and more chatter we adjourned to Tai Ku Ma's place. She said , " Food no more liao, people all still around", in my mind I was thankful to God, that the people actually finished all the food. I was not in any mood to see food again for a long long time, not after what we had at Chili's.

American Chili's, Total Score 7/10. Food was good, friendly service, the taste was alright, The Bufallo Wings a bit too sour, and the Molten abit too sweet. Other wise, superb. More than acceptable ambience.

Operasi April Fools 06

The Royal Malaysian Police have always been an ambiguos figure in the eyes of the Malaysia public. To say the least, they have been empowered by the government to safeguard the Rakyat's safety and security. However so, with the negative press coverage on the wrong doings of the Police force, like for example, the increase in the number of bribery cases, the increase in cases of Policemen involved in serious crimes, have given the public a mixed reaction towards this same people who are supposed to protect us.

Last night was one great example. The gang decided that we would want to go clubbing, since its a Friday night. We all went to our usual hang out place, BarFlam in Bangsar. As usual we would open our bottles, the girls will drink, we will drink and dance all night long. Everything went on the usual way, we had fun, we got to know a few new friends at BarFlam which we always do. The music was playing and it suddenly stopped. The time was 1.30am. The lights came up and I was wondering, what the hell is going on. They are not supposed to close until 2am. I remember PJ or Selangor clubs are to close at 1am, which is the reason why we had stopped frequenting Qbar in Sunway.

An announcement blared out from the speakers shortly, " Ladies and Gentlemen ! We are sorry for the interruption. We are from the Polis DiRaja Malaysia. Please remain calm." After a few minute pause, the speakers which was playing our favorite tunes blared out again, requesting us to group up according to gender. Guys on the right, and Girls on the left. Later we were all made to surrender our IC , or passport or whatever documents to proof thats its you. The announcer spoke again, saying, they will be no urine test, we are just checking. If you are alright, you will be able to go home shortly. NO urine test, so I went for a pee pee straight away once I found out they were no urine test.
It took a while before all of us surrendered our ICs, as some drunked jerks, were not a cooperative. In the end, they also surrendered their IDs to the police. Then they started calling out names from their IC...

First Name Called out .... Vincent Teo !! *cheers and clapping from the crowd ensued*
The announcer said, Ok thats the last name *cheers turned to jeers*, because you people are so noisy, please be quiet... * WTF , the police actually have a sense of humour* The announcer was even dressed up like a DJ, quite "IN" so to speak. Like a fellow partyer himself.

During the calling of names laughter crept in and out as some of the names were really funny. "Said Al Hassan, Nibong Tebal" , somemore have tell people where you live. Walao !! Paiseh man! Some of us were just anxious to leave the place, as the music had stopped and we
were wondering what was really happening.

One drunk fella even toasted and shouted CHEERS ! to one of the plainclothes policeman.

Some of the names he called out, were like Ho Chi Minh (this one real chick la). It took about an hour to get everyone out, although I wasn't sure what the operasi was all about. Perhaps a practical joke made by the Malaysian police on us Party Goers. It was a low that night, for BarFlam. This picture on the left shows a few policement dressed in plainclothes blocking the entrance. The lights in the club were all switched on, and it was so much brighter than outside.

I really feel bad for Amanda whom I just go to know that night. She said it was such an unlucky night for her, she banged a lorry earlier that day and now kena raid by police while clubbing.

By the time I made it out, almost half the people originally in the club has already left. Most of them who are still hanging around outside were very likely waiting for their friends who were still in the club. Overall, I found the Royal Malaysian Police quite funny although I do not quite understand why they had raided BarFlam. The crowd are all decent people, who just loves to drink and dance. And of course there are people like me who goes there just to be with friends. Of course la, got drink. But then if kena road block that time, the traffic warden will surely ask, " Ada minum tak ?" , the instant reply will always be, " TAK ADA boss !!" Although the face is red.

For those people who drink and drive, be aware of those patrol cars that patrol the streets in the heart of KL. They will stop your car if they suspect that you are drink driving. Very intimidating to say the least, because they will tail your car for like a few minutes before they signal you to pullover.

Careful anyways when we drink and drive. Cheers! We will definitely go back to BarFlam again after what happened last night. Its still a nice place to hang out with a nice crowd in it.
